Divorce Counseling/Co-Parent "Coaching"

Divorce related counseling sometimes differs in style and content from other types of psychotherapy. While we have the clinical knowledge and skills to assist someone with depression or anxiety disorders, most divorcing clients are not diagnosable. They have a need for information about the process of the divorce, someone to coach them through it, and someone to repeatedly reassure them that they are not crazy. Parents may also need coaching to refine their new co-parenting skills, particularly when they find the other parent to be less than cooperative. We can help.

Supervised Visitation/Exchange

Child access services are designed to offer opportunities for children to have safe, conflict-free access to parents in a healthy, supervised environment.  Many situations arise which can result in the utilization of child access services.  Our goal as a neutral third party is to ensure physical and emotional safety during visitations and exchanges and report unbiased, objective records of the events that occur during these meetings to the appropriate parties.

Anger Management Groups

Sometimes, during the legal process, one or both parties, agree to, or are ordered to attend Anger Management. These are intensive psycho-educational anger awareness and management programs designed for individuals whose anger has given them difficulty in their lives.

Social Studies

We recommend that you review the services available under Team Collaborative Law  before you pursue this option, but sometimes families need the court to make their parenting decisions for them. At those times, a social study is often recommended.

Co-Parent Facilitator

A Co-Parent Facilitator works with both divorced parents to help them create and or fulfill their parenting plan. Unlike a Parenting Coordinator, a Co-Parent Facilitator offers feedback to both attorneys, and sometimes the court.
