H.O.P.E. Healthy Options for Personal Expression For: Youth, age 14 - 18 who are struggling with self-injuring behaviors (cutting, bruising, or burning). [All 18 year old participants must be attending high school.] Structure: This is a "closed" group, where participants all start and end the group series together. Closed groups are used to provide emotional safety to participants, as there is no change in membership from week to week. Goals: In addition to individual goals that a participant may set, the group has the shared goals of learning to identify and express feelings in a healthy way. Time and Place: Wednesdays, 6:00 - 7:30 pm, Counseling Center of Lewisville. Length: Eight (8) weekly sessions. Fee: $30/ per session or $200 total if paid in advance.
