Apoyo a Mujeres en Relaciones Violentas

For: Any woman who has been a victim of relationship violence at any point in their lives.

Para: Cualquier mujer que haya sido victima de violencia relacional en cualquier momento de su vida.

Structure: This is a "open" group, where participants may start at any time.

Estructura: Este es un grupo "abierto", donde las participantes pueden comenzar en cualquier momento.

Goals:

1. To define and recognize abusive behaviors in order to help women lower their chance to be victimized again in the future.

2. To understand how abuse impacts women's and children's lives.

3. To get support and encouragement from other women.

4. To learn to identify and express feelings.

5. To break down isolation and focus on the healing of self.

6. To stop minimization of the abuse and understand that the woman is not to blame for a partner's abusive behavior.

7. To provide information about available resources.

Metas:

1. Conocer mas acerca de los diferentes tipos de comportamientos abusivos para poderlos reconocer y asi evitar ser victimizada en el futuro.

2. Comprender de que modo el abuso impacta la vida de las mujeres y los ninos.

3. Obtener apoyo y comprension de otras mujeres.

4. Aprender a identificar y expresar sentimientos.

5. Romper el aislamiento y enfocarse en su sanacion personal.

6. Dejar de minimizar el abuso y entender que la mujer no es la culpable del comportamiento abusivo de su pareja u otro abusador.

7. Proveer informacion acerca de recursos disponibles.

Time and Place: Saturdays, 11:30 am - 1:00 pm, Counseling Center of Lewisville.

Lugar y hora: Sabados de 11:30 am a 1:00 pm en el Counseling Center de Lewisville.

Length: Open Support Group

Duracion: Grupo de apoyo abierto.

Fee: $10/ per session

Costo: $10 por sesion.

Enrollment: Schedule an intake session with Liliana.

Inscripciones: Debe de hacer una cita para inscribirse previo a comenzar el grupo con Liliana.
