Brief History

The Counseling Center of Denton (CCD) has been providing community-based counseling services to individuals, couples, families, and groups since Cindy Jacobson opened the business in May of 1990. The Lewisville office (Family Tree Counseling) was opened in December 1997. Farmers Branch was opened in 2010. The agency was incorporated as CCD Counseling Inc. in 1996, and converted to CCD Counseling P.A. in 2002.

Current Leadership

Sadaf Meckfessel, LPC – S is the agency’s executive Director. Sunnie Palmer, LCSW is the Assistant Director.

Current Services

CCD provides individual, couples, family counseling, as well as play therapy and a variety of groups. We have a range in our fee structure that includes a free family counseling program. We also have a range of self-pay rates starting at $40 (Master’s Intern) to full fee seasoned clinicians. We have services at 4 different locations in Denton County and we contract with additional groups all around Dallas County.
